Facebook Ads Cost in Canada: What to Budget and What You Get

Facebook ads have no fixed price. See US benchmarks, the cost factors, a hypothetical CAD budget and how agencies charge.

Facebook Ads Cost in Canada: What to Budget and What You Get

Facebook ads cost whatever budget you decide to set, because Meta sells them through an auction instead of at a fixed price. In the most recent WordStream benchmark, US advertisers paid a median of USD 0.60 per click on traffic campaigns and USD 27.39 per lead on lead campaigns, and this research found no published Canadian benchmark of comparable size. The typical small local advertiser has no way to know their own number in advance, because the price per click or per lead depends on the campaign objective, the audience, the quality of the ad, the time of year, how many competitors want the same people and how well the website turns a click into an enquiry. If you would rather have a team plan and run it, 2Marketing offers paid social and Microsoft Ads management for Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn and Microsoft, and a free ads plan request is a low-pressure way to get a budget recommendation for your own market.

Facebook ads cost at a glance

  • Search interest in Canada: about 210 searches a month for “facebook ads cost” (DataForSEO estimate, national figure, 12 month range 140 to 210, commercial intent, no keyword difficulty reported)
  • US median cost per click, traffic campaigns: USD 0.60 in WordStream’s 2026 benchmark, down from USD 0.70 the year before
  • US median cost per click and cost per lead, lead campaigns: USD 1.80 and USD 27.39 in the same benchmark (medians across 452 US lead campaigns)
  • Global median cost per click in the Superads dataset: roughly USD 1.05 on average across July 2025 to July 2026, with a peak of USD 1.29 in November 2025 and a low of USD 0.77 in July 2026 (currency implied as USD)
  • Meta’s own analysis, reported by PPC Land: ad sets that received fewer than about 50 conversions a week ran about 28% more expensive per purchase, though Meta gave no sample size or period

Cost terms in one line each

  • CPM (cost per thousand impressions): what you pay for every 1,000 times your ad is shown
  • CPC (cost per click): your spend divided by the number of clicks you received
  • CPL (cost per lead): your spend divided by the number of leads recorded, such as form submissions
  • Cost per purchase: your spend divided by the number of sales attributed to the ads
  • ROAS (return on ad spend): revenue attributed to the ads divided by what you spent on them

Every figure above comes from US or global datasets in US dollars, so it is a reference point and not a Canadian quote. Benchmarks are medians across many advertisers, and your result can sit well above or below them. A low cost per click says nothing about whether the clicks became customers, and a benchmark is not a forecast of what your budget will produce.

Key takeaways

  • You control the budget, not the price. Meta runs an auction, so the cost of each click, lead or sale moves with competition, audience and ad quality.
  • Published benchmarks are mostly American. WordStream’s 2026 medians are USD 0.60 per traffic click, USD 1.80 per lead click and USD 27.39 per lead. Treat them as a sanity check for your own account data.
  • Cost per lead or sale matters more than cost per click. A cheap click that never enquires is expensive.
  • Meta’s learning behaviour affects price. Meta says ad sets with fewer than about 50 weekly conversions cost about 28% more per purchase in its own analysis, which means a tiny budget spread over many ad sets can raise your costs.
  • Ad spend is only one cost. Creative, tracking, landing pages, tax and any agency fee sit on top of what Meta charges.
  • Fourth quarter is the expensive window. The Superads data shows the highest median click cost of the past year in November 2025, so holiday budgets deserve extra caution.
  • No honest provider can promise a fixed cost per lead or a set number of customers, and you should be wary of anyone who does.

How does Meta charge for Facebook and Instagram ads?

Meta charges through an auction. You set a budget, pick an objective such as traffic, leads or sales, define an audience and submit your creative, and the platform decides when and how often to show the ad. Meta explains in its Meta Business Help Center page on what it costs to advertise how budgets and bid strategies control total spending and cost per result. You pay for delivery according to the pricing basis of your campaign, which is commonly impressions, and the platform reports results such as clicks and leads against what you spent.

Two budget styles exist. A daily budget lets Meta spend up to a set amount each day, and a lifetime budget sets a total for the whole campaign period. Which suits you depends on whether you want steady always-on delivery or a fixed push around an event. WebFX’s cost guide cites a minimum of USD 1 a day as the floor Meta allows, and you can see the exact minimums for your objective and currency inside Ads Manager when you build the campaign.

The auction rewards ads people respond to. If a lot of people watch, click or enquire, the platform has a reason to keep showing the ad at a reasonable price, and if nobody reacts the cost of each result tends to climb. This is why the same budget can produce very different outcomes for two businesses in the same city. The difference usually lies in the offer, the creative, the audience definition and the quality of the page that follows the click.

Cost metricHow it is calculatedWhat it tells youWhat it hides
CPMSpend divided by impressions, times 1,000How expensive the audience is to reachWhether anyone cared
CPCSpend divided by clicksHow costly attention isWhether visitors become enquiries
CPLSpend divided by leadsThe price of an enquiryWhether the leads are qualified
Cost per purchaseSpend divided by salesThe price of a customer or an orderMargin, repeat purchases and returns
ROASAttributed revenue divided by spendRevenue returned for each dollar spentProfit, because revenue is not margin

The columns on the right matter more than they look. A campaign can report a strong click cost and still lose money, and a campaign with a high click cost can be profitable if the leads close well. Always connect the cost metric to the business result that pays your bills. If you are not sure that your leads and sales are being counted correctly, fix that first. Our guide to Google Ads conversion tracking covers the same measurement logic, and 2Marketing’s analytics and call tracking service lists the tracking setup work involved.

What are typical Facebook ad costs right now?

The most useful recent public data point is the WordStream 2026 Facebook ads benchmark, published in September 2026. According to PPC Land’s summary of the WordStream 2026 Facebook benchmarks, it uses medians from 1,377 US traffic campaigns and 452 US lead campaigns, in US dollars, covering roughly April 2025 to June 2026. Medians reduce the pull of a few extreme advertisers, but the lead subcategories can rest on as few as four campaigns each, so the industry rows are rougher than the headline rows.

Traffic campaign CPC0.600.70US traffic campaigns

Lead campaign CPC1.801.92 (implied)US lead campaigns
Lead campaign CTR2.70%2.59%Higher than traffic, as these ads ask for less
Lead conversion rate8.54%Direction unclear in the sourceShare of clicks that became leads
Lead campaign CPL27.3927.66Cost per recorded lead

Superads publishes a second view. Its dataset, described as built from about USD 3 billion in ad spend across thousands of accounts, shows a monthly global median click cost that averaged roughly USD 1.05 over July 2025 to July 2026. The series started near USD 1.08 in July 2025, peaked at USD 1.29 in November 2025 and fell to USD 0.77 in July 2026. Superads does not state its sample size, and the page is inconsistent about its own date range, so use it as a direction of travel and not as a fixed price.

Do not stack figures from different datasets into one price list. A CPM from one panel of ecommerce advertisers, a CPC from a mixed global dataset and a CPL from US lead campaigns were each measured differently. One published US CPM of USD 16.08, from the Lebesgue country table cited by AdManage, is a useful example of the problem, because it comes from a different panel and cannot be combined with the WordStream clicks above.

Other articles quote wider ranges. WebFX gives a CPC of USD 0.30 to 4.00 and a CPM of USD 3 to 20, and LYFE Marketing recommends a test budget of at least USD 5,000 over six months for businesses starting from scratch. Those are agency opinions or agency estimates, and they come from companies that sell Facebook advertising. They are fair inputs but not independent measurements.

Are there Canadian Facebook ad cost benchmarks?

This research found none of comparable sample size. The WordStream data is US based, the Superads series is global, and the AdManage country table does not include Canada. The Thryv Canada article that ranks for this search is dated 2018 with data from 2017, so it describes a different advertising market. If you see a confident “average Facebook ad cost in Canada” figure, ask where it came from, what period it covers and whether the figure is in Canadian or US dollars.

In practice, a Canadian advertiser can use the US medians as a loose upper reference for expectations and then replace them with their own numbers within a few weeks. Meta’s reporting inside Ads Manager shows your actual CPM, CPC and cost per result by campaign, ad set and ad, and your own history beats any published average. Currency matters here. Confirm which currency your ad account bills in, and check with your bank whether any foreign exchange or card fees apply to what you pay.

The DataForSEO figure for the search term is a different thing from an ad price. It shows a Google Ads CPC of USD 7.20 and a top-of-page bid range of USD 1.53 to 9.05 for people searching “facebook ads cost” in Canada. That is what advertisers bid on Google to appear for that search, and it is not what Meta charges for a Facebook click. It is mentioned here because mixing the two is a common mistake in cost articles.

What factors change what you pay?

The same auction produces very different prices because several factors apply at once. The table below separates what you control from what you do not, which helps when deciding where to spend your effort first.

FactorHow it affects costWithin your control?
Campaign objectiveAsking for a purchase or lead is harder for the system than asking for a click or a view, so cost per result generally rises as the action gets more valuableYes, you choose it
Audience size and definitionA very narrow local audience can be expensive to reach because fewer people qualify, which is a practitioner observation and not a Meta rulePartly
Creative qualityAds that earn clicks and engagement tend to be shown more cheaply, because the auction rewards resultsYes
Offer and landing pageA weak page lowers the share of clicks that become leads, which raises cost per lead even when the click price is lowYes
CompetitionMore advertisers chasing the same people raise prices, especially around retail peaksNo
SeasonSuperads data shows the highest median click cost of the past year in November 2025No, but you can plan around it
IndustryWordStream shows the 2026 lead cost ranging from USD 12.30 in career and employment to USD 61.56 for dentistsNo
Tracking qualityPoor conversion data gives the system weaker signals to optimize onYes
Budget relative to cost per resultMeta says ad sets with fewer than about 50 weekly conversions ran about 28% more expensive per purchaseYes

Notice how many rows are in your hands. Competition and season are not, but creative, the landing page, tracking and budget structure are. That is also where an experienced person tends to find the quickest improvements, though no source can promise how large they will be.

Why does Meta’s 50 conversion rule affect your budget?

Meta’s delivery system learns from conversions. In an October 21, 2026 post, as reported by PPC Land’s report on Meta’s October 2026 post, Meta said that below roughly 50 conversions a week “the system is guessing” and that ad sets under that mark ran about 28% more expensive per purchase in its own analysis. Meta also offered a formula for the number of ad sets a budget can support: total weekly budget divided by the cost per result multiplied by 50.

There are limits to what that claim proves. Meta gave no sample size, period, region, industry or campaign type, and it is not clear whether budget was controlled for, since smaller ad sets may also differ in other ways. The 50 event figure has long appeared in Meta’s guidance, and some vendors report lower thresholds for certain campaign types. Treat it as a planning guide and not a law.

Here is the arithmetic with US benchmark numbers. Fifty leads a week at the WordStream median of USD 27.39 comes to USD 1,369.50 a week for a single ad set, which is far more than most local businesses spend. With a hypothetical CAD 1,000 weekly budget and an assumed CAD 40 per lead, Meta’s formula gives 1,000 divided by 2,000, or half of one fully fed ad set. The practical lesson is the same for any small budget: run fewer ad sets, not more.

Some practitioners respond to a small budget by optimizing for an event that happens more often, such as a landing page view or an add to cart, so the system gets enough signals. That trade is a hypothesis worth testing and carries a cost, because the system then looks for people who do the easier action and not necessarily the valuable one. Ask whoever builds your campaign which event they are optimizing for and why.

An illustrative scene generated with AI, not a photo of a real business or customer. For an online shop, the number that matters is the cost of each order, and that is what the 50 event guidance refers to.

How much should a small business budget for Facebook ads?

Start from what a customer is worth, not from a round number. Work out your gross profit per sale, what share of leads become customers, and how many leads or orders the budget has to buy before the campaign pays for itself. Then compare that to a realistic cost per result, using your own data once you have it and benchmarks until then.

The table below is hypothetical. It assumes a cost per lead of CAD 40, a figure chosen only to show the arithmetic, and a 30 day month. It is not a forecast, and actual cost per lead can differ widely by industry, offer and tracking.

Daily budget (CAD)Weekly spend (CAD)Monthly spend (CAD)Leads per month at CAD 40 eachFits Meta’s 50 event guidance?
15105450about 11No, about 3 leads a week
30210900about 22No, about 5 leads a week
604201,800about 45No, about 10 leads a week
2852,000about 8,570about 214Yes, 50 leads a week

The last row shows why the guidance can be out of reach. Fifty leads a week at an assumed CAD 40 each requires CAD 2,000 a week. Smaller advertisers can still run campaigns, but should expect a longer learning period, keep the structure simple, and judge results over weeks and not days.

Wording from other sources helps frame expectations without setting your budget for you. The WebFX survey of more than 250 US marketers reported that 63% spent USD 1 to 500 a month on Facebook ads, and some guides suggest USD 10 to 50 a day for a small business to test. These are opinions and survey figures, and a budget that works for one business can be too small or too large for another.

Whatever number you choose, decide in advance what you will do at the end of each period. A written rule such as “after four weeks we review cost per lead against our target, and either change the offer or pause” is better than drifting. For help comparing options across channels, our guide to digital marketing prices in Toronto lists how different services are typically priced.

What does a worked example look like?

Two hypothetical businesses show how to turn costs into a decision. All numbers below are assumptions chosen to illustrate the method and are in Canadian dollars.

ItemLocal service businessOnline shop
Average saleJob with CAD 600 gross profitOrder of CAD 80, 40% gross margin
Gross profit per saleCAD 600CAD 32
Conversion step20% of leads become customersClick to purchase tracked by pixel and server events
Break-even cost per customer or orderCAD 600CAD 32
Break-even ROASNot the main metric80 divided by 32, or 2.5
Cost per lead at CAD 40Cost per customer is 40 divided by 0.2, or CAD 200Not applicable
ReadingCAD 200 to win a CAD 600 gross profit job leaves CAD 400 before fees and other costsA ROAS below 2.5 loses money before any other cost

The local business example is healthy on paper, but only if the 20% close rate holds, which depends on how quickly someone calls back and how the leads are qualified. If the real close rate is 10%, the cost per customer doubles to CAD 400. The shop example has far less room, because a 40% margin means every order needs about 2.5 times its cost in revenue just to break even, before shipping, returns or software.

Both examples ignore the agency fee, creative and tracking, which belong in the same sum. If you run ads for a retailer, the e-commerce website design page and the conversion rate optimization service both relate to the step after the click, which is often where the most money is lost.

Does cost per lead vary by industry?

Yes, and by a wide margin. WordStream’s 2026 data reports the highest median lead cost for dentists and dental services at USD 61.56, and the lowest for career and employment at USD 12.30. On lead clicks, dentists were highest at USD 5.70 and career and employment lowest at USD 0.73. Traffic click costs ran from USD 0.34 for arts and entertainment to USD 0.86 for finance and insurance.

Measure (WordStream 2026, USD, US medians)Lowest categoryHighest category
Traffic CPCArts and entertainment, 0.34Finance and insurance, 0.86
Lead CPCCareer and employment, 0.73Dentists and dental services, 5.70
Lead CPLCareer and employment, 12.30Dentists and dental services, 61.56
Lead conversion rateAutomotive for sale, 4.15%Education and instruction, 15.87%

Do not copy a row into your plan. The lead categories can rest on very few campaigns, and the report itself notes that its metrics are not independent, so you cannot divide one by another to model your own funnel. If you advertise in a regulated or high-value field, expect higher prices than the headline medians suggest, and remember that platform and professional advertising rules apply. Dental and medical practices can see how 2Marketing approaches growth on its SEO for dentists page, which also covers how search and paid channels fit together.

Are Instagram ads more expensive than Facebook ads?

Superads says Instagram click costs are generally slightly higher than Facebook, but the page gives no numbers, so treat it as a directional note. Meta lets advertisers run one campaign across both, and placement settings decide where ads appear. Stories, Reels and feed placements can each produce different costs and different quality of result, which is why checking results by placement is useful once there is enough data.

A cheaper placement is not automatically better. A placement that produces lots of cheap clicks from people who never enquire raises the real cost per lead. Review the placement report against leads and sales, and decide from that and not from the click price alone. If your audience is a business audience, LinkedIn or Microsoft Ads may fit better, and the paid social and Microsoft Ads management page describes how 2Marketing approaches that mix.

When do Facebook ads get more expensive during the year?

Competition peaks when retailers and service providers push holiday offers. The Superads series shows the highest monthly median click cost of its 13 month window in November 2025, at USD 1.29, and a notably lower USD 0.77 by July 2026. Meta’s own October 2026 post, titled around peak season, is aimed at advertisers heading into this period. It is the end of October as I write this, so anyone planning holiday ads now is heading into the busiest stretch.

Seasonality is something you can plan around. Start testing before the rush so your tracking and creative are proven, avoid launching a brand new campaign and a brand new tracking setup in the same week, and keep a reserve in case costs run above your target. Prices can also fall after the holidays, which is a good time to test new audiences more cheaply, although no source can promise a drop in any given month.

What else do you pay for besides ad spend?

Ad spend is what Meta bills. Almost every campaign has other costs that never appear on the Meta invoice, and leaving them out is how a campaign that looks profitable ends up losing money.

CostWho bills itUsually one-time or recurringNotes

Tax and currencyYour tax rules and bankVariesAsk your accountant how GST/HST and any foreign exchange costs apply to your account

On tax, this article offers no advice. Whether and how sales tax appears on your Meta invoices depends on how your account is set up and on current rules, so confirm it with your accountant. If you are comparing agency quotes, check that each one states whether fees are monthly, whether the figure includes ad spend and what currency applies.

How do agencies charge for Facebook ad management?

Agency pricing for paid social generally takes one of a few shapes. Each has a trade-off, and the right one depends on your budget and how much work you expect around creative and reporting.

Pricing modelHow it worksWhere it helpsWatch out for
Flat monthly feeA fixed amount regardless of ad spendPredictable cost when spend changesScope must be written down, including creative and reporting
Percentage of ad spendA share of what you spend on MetaScales with the size of the accountFees rise automatically if you raise the budget

Setup fee plus monthlyA one-time build cost followed by a recurring feeCovers tracking and structure workConfirm what the setup actually includes
Per project or per creative batchPaid for a defined deliverableSmall tests or one-off launchesNo ongoing optimization unless agreed

As one published US example, WebFX lists a Pro package at USD 1,975 to set up, then USD 975 or 15% of ad spend a month, for accounts spending USD 1,000 to 30,000, and an Enterprise package at USD 4,250 to set up, then USD 4,500 or 12% of spend, for USD 30,000 and above. That is one US agency’s published pricing in US dollars and is not a Canadian price list. It shows how a fee model can combine a flat charge with a percentage of spend.

2Marketing does not publish prices for paid social. Its paid social page says a strategist will recommend a starting budget after reviewing your market and goals, and the page offers a free ads plan. Its page also describes a timeline of weeks 1 to 2 for setup, weeks 3 to 6 for learning and testing, and month 2 onward for optimization and scaling, and says this is what to expect and not a promise. Ask for any quote in writing and compare the same inclusions across providers. Our guide to choosing a PPC agency has a longer list of questions to ask.

How can you keep Facebook ad costs under control?

No tactic guarantees a lower price, and results vary. These are sensible habits that give the system better information and give you better control.

  • Fix tracking before you spend. Make sure leads and sales are being recorded accurately, and consider a server side connection such as the Conversions API in addition to the browser pixel. The 2Marketing paid social page describes the Conversions API as a server side connection that sends conversion data directly to Meta and can improve tracking accuracy because browsers block many pixels.
  • Start with one simple campaign. Splitting a small budget across many ad sets works against the 50 event guidance described above.
  • Test the offer before the audience. A clear, specific offer usually matters more than a clever targeting tweak, which is a practitioner view and not a platform rule.
  • Refresh creative on a schedule. Ads wear out, and a steady supply of fresh options gives the auction something new to reward.
  • Match the ad to the page. A mismatch between the promise in the ad and the page that opens is a common source of wasted clicks.
  • Answer leads quickly. A fast, friendly reply is often the cheapest way to raise your close rate, since it improves cost per customer without touching the ad.
  • Review by cost per lead or sale, not click price. Judge ad sets on the result that pays you.
Hairstylist
An illustrative scene generated with AI, not a photo of a real business or customer. Real work and real before-and-after moments are the kind of material local ads are built around.

Creative deserves a plan of its own. For a local service business, that can mean real photos of finished work, short clips filmed on a phone and a plain written offer. Where there is a human in the picture, make sure you have permission to use their image. For help planning the content side, see 2Marketing’s social media marketing service and our overview of social media management pricing.

How do you know if you are overpaying?

A high price is only a problem when it exceeds what a result is worth to you. These checks help you tell the difference.

Reported results and real results can disagree. Ad platforms attribute conversions using their own rules, so compare what Ads Manager says with your booking system, calls and sales. Our guide to what a useful monthly marketing report should include explains how to build a report that connects spend to outcomes, and the same discipline applies to paid social.

Are Facebook ads better than Google Ads for local businesses?

They do different jobs. Search ads reach people who already typed what they want, and social ads reach people who have not searched but might be interested. The WordStream report shows a Google Ads cost per click of USD 5.42, about nine times the Meta traffic click cost, but its two datasets are built differently and are not designed for a direct comparison. A cheaper click does not mean a cheaper customer.

ChannelWho sees itCost modelOften suits
Facebook and Instagram adsPeople matched to an audience, mostly not searchingAuction, commonly billed by impressionsOffers that benefit from visuals, retargeting and awareness
Google search adsPeople searching a specific phraseAuction, billed per clickUrgent, high intent needs such as repairs
Google Local Services AdsPeople searching for local services, where availablePay per lead, depending on the categoryEligible home and professional services
Organic social and SEOFollowers and searchersTime and production cost, not media spendBuilding trust and steady visibility over time

Many businesses use more than one channel. If you want to compare costs, our guides to Google Ads costs in Toronto and Google Local Services Ads in Canada cover the search side, and 2Marketing’s Google Ads management and PPC agency in Toronto pages describe the related services. A channel is worth keeping when its cost per customer is acceptable to you, not when its click price looks low.

What should you ask before hiring help?

A good provider is comfortable being specific about scope, reporting and responsibility. These questions separate a clear proposal from a vague one.

  • What is included in the fee, and is the ad spend separate? In which currency are both billed?
  • Who owns the ad account and the creative, and will you keep access if we part ways?
  • How will conversions be tracked, and will you set up server side events as well as the pixel?
  • Which optimization event will the campaign use, and why?
  • How often will you report, and will the report connect spend to leads and sales?
  • What is the contract length, and how do we cancel?
  • Which parts of the work do you subcontract, if any?
  • What would you need from us, such as photos, offers and fast lead follow up?

Be wary of any promise of a guaranteed cost per lead, a fixed number of customers or a guaranteed return. Platforms change, auctions move, and no provider controls every variable. 2Marketing’s paid social service states that it works toward booked calls and sales and reports on leads and cost per lead, and the free ads plan on that page is the route to a recommendation for your own business. You can also book a free 30 minute call or run the free local AI SEO report if you also want to see how your business appears in search.

Frequently asked questions

How much do Facebook ads cost in Canada?
There is no fixed price, because Meta sells ads through an auction and you set the budget. This research found no published Canadian benchmark of comparable size. The most recent large public benchmark is US based: WordStream’s 2026 medians were USD 0.60 per traffic click, USD 1.80 per lead click and USD 27.39 per lead. Your own account data will replace those figures within a few weeks.

How much should a small business spend on Facebook ads per month?
It depends on what a lead or sale is worth to you and how many you need to make the campaign pay. A WebFX survey of more than 250 US marketers found 63% spent USD 1 to 500 a month, and some guides suggest USD 10 to 50 a day to test. Those are survey results and opinions, so work backwards from your own margins and test cost per lead before scaling.

Is CAD 10 a day enough for Facebook ads?
It can run a campaign, but it will produce few results. At an assumed CAD 40 per lead, a CAD 10 daily budget buys about 7 or 8 leads a month, and the number could be lower or higher in your market. Meta’s own guidance points to about 50 conversions a week for stable delivery, so a very small budget means a longer, noisier learning period.

How does Meta charge for Facebook and Instagram ads?
Meta uses an auction. You set a daily or lifetime budget, choose an objective and an audience, and the platform charges according to the pricing basis of the campaign, which is commonly impressions. Meta describes how budgets and bid strategies control spending and cost per result on its Business Help Center page about advertising costs.

What is the minimum budget for Facebook ads?
WebFX cites a minimum of USD 1 a day, but the minimum Ads Manager accepts can vary by objective and currency. Check the figure shown when you build the campaign. A low minimum does not mean a low budget is effective, and results usually need more data than a tiny spend produces.

What is a good cost per lead on Facebook?
A good cost per lead is one that leaves a profit once you account for close rate and gross profit per sale. For reference, WordStream’s 2026 US median was USD 27.39 per lead, with industry medians from USD 12.30 for career and employment to USD 61.56 for dentists. Your target should come from your own numbers and not from an average.

Are Instagram ads more expensive than Facebook ads?
Superads says Instagram click costs are generally slightly higher than Facebook but does not give numbers. Costs also vary by placement, such as feed, Stories or Reels. Compare results by placement against leads and sales instead of assuming one is cheaper.

Why do Facebook ads cost more in the fourth quarter?
More advertisers compete for the same audiences around the holidays, which raises auction prices. In the Superads dataset the monthly global median click cost peaked at USD 1.29 in November 2025, compared with USD 0.77 in July 2026. Plan tests before the rush and keep some budget in reserve.

What is the Meta learning phase and why does it affect cost?
It is the period when delivery is still learning who responds to your ad. Meta said in October 2026 that ad sets with fewer than about 50 conversions a week ran about 28% more expensive per purchase in its own analysis, though it gave no sample details. Fewer ad sets with a clear goal generally give the system more signal.

Does 2Marketing publish prices for paid social advertising?
No. Its paid social page says a strategist recommends a starting budget after reviewing your market and goals. The page lists Meta, Instagram, LinkedIn and Microsoft Ads, strategy, creative, audience targeting, conversion tracking and reporting, and offers a free ads plan.

How long before Facebook ads become cost effective?
It varies, and no one can promise a date. The 2Marketing paid social page describes expectations of setup in weeks 1 to 2, learning and testing in weeks 3 to 6, and optimization from month 2, with cost per lead dropping as budget moves to winners. Treat that as a typical sequence and not a guarantee.

Are Facebook ads cheaper than Google Ads?

WordStream’s 2026 data puts Google’s cost per click at USD 5.42 against USD 0.60 for Meta traffic campaigns, but the datasets are not built for direct comparison. Search ads reach people already looking, while social ads reach people who were not searching.

What tracking do I need before I spend money on Facebook ads?
At minimum, accurate recording of leads and sales on your site, and a way to match them to bookings or revenue. The 2Marketing paid social page describes the Conversions API as a server side connection that sends conversion data to Meta and can improve accuracy because browsers block many pixels. Test your tracking before you scale spend.

Can anyone guarantee a fixed cost per lead?
No honest provider can. Auction prices, competition and your own website all change results, and no agency controls them. Be cautious about any promise of guaranteed leads, a fixed cost or a set return, and ask instead how results will be measured and reported.

How can I lower my Facebook ad costs?
Fix tracking, run fewer and simpler ad sets, test the offer and the creative, match the landing page to the ad and reply to leads quickly. These steps improve the information the system uses and the share of clicks that convert, but none of them guarantees a lower price.

Is Facebook advertising worth it for a small local business?
It can be, when the cost per customer is lower than what a customer is worth and when tracking shows what the ads actually produce. The way to find out is a modest, well measured test with a written decision rule at the end of each period, and not a large commitment up front.

What does a free ads plan from 2Marketing include?
The paid social page describes it as a plan with the audiences, platforms and creative angles most likely to work for your business. It does not state a price or a delivery time on that page, so ask when you request it.
